§ 19-7. Penalties for offenses.

A person, firm, corporation or company violating this ordinance shall be liable to a penalty of fifty dollars ($50.) which may be recovered by the town in action in the District Court. District Judges shall have jurisdiction to hear, try and determine complaints for the violation of said ordinance, rules and regulations and to impose a fine equal to the penalty prescribed by said ordinance for the violation of same, and to commit any person convicted of a violation of said ordinance, rules and regulations to the county jail in case of default of payment of a fine imposed for such violation for a term not exceeding one (1) day for each and every dollar of such fine.
