§ 48-11.1. Prohibited activities.

    Welding shall be prohibited upon public streets, sidewalks or rights-of-way within the town, except when performed by authorized personnel of a governmental unit or of a utility.
    B. 
    No owner, tenant or occupant of premises abutting a public street, sidewalk or right-of-way shall utilize a public street, sidewalk or right-of-way in connection with or in furtherance of a business, trade or occupation being conducted on such premises. This section shall not be construed so as to prohibit the use of a public street, sidewalk or right-of-way for access to a business or for such other purpose as may be specifically and explicitly permitted by applicable law. By way of illustration, the prohibition in this section shall apply to, among other things, the repairing of automobiles in the street by a gasoline service station or the drying or cleaning of cars in a street by a car wash.
