§ 2A-3. Registration and abatement required.

A.
It shall be unlawful and a violation of this chapter and an offense within the meaning of the Penal Law of the State of New York for any person or entity who owns an Unsafe Building or Structure to fail to register such building or structure with the Building Department in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.

B.
It shall be unlawful and a violation of this chapter and an offense within the meaning of the Penal Law of the State of New York for any person or entity who owns an Unsafe Building or Structure to fail to abate by repair and rehabilitation, or by boarding or other acceptable means of securing until repaired or demolished, or by demolition and removal, such building or structure in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
