§ 19-2. Permit required for handling explosives.

  • It shall be unlawful for any firm, corporation, company or person to keep, store, transport or have in their possession any high explosives, fuse or electric blasting caps, fireworks of any description or any other explosive compound except such articles as defined by the United States Department of Transportation regulations for the transportation of explosives or other dangerous articles, without first obtaining the approval of the Public Safety Bureau of the Nassau County Police Department, a permit in accordance with the provisions of Section 458 of the Labor Law of the State of New York and a permit from the Town Clerk of the Town of North Hempstead.
